Day 2 - 5 Feb 2006
Breakfast as usual. Met up with Rohaya, his colleague. Hm....I found some similarities in us girls...million dollar question - we were from the same sec. sch. I knew her younger sis, too. Both were my seniors. What similarities? Our style of expressing our thoughts & we were taught by..jeng,jeng,jeng - CIK SALMAH!!!!!!!! Gosh!!! Gasp!!!!!! Donch ask me why. About Rohaya, she & her siblings are so powderful. Adik-beradik ramai, sumer graduates. She's from engineering, Rohana's lawyer...yg lain aku tak ingat pasal aku tak kenal...tapi adik lelaki jorang yg glam tuh, aku ingat,Khai, he's an architect. How do I know he's their bro? Well, surname sama, muka tak tumpah! One thing I know, budi pekerti mereka tinggi. Sumer jem-bu abiz! Coincidentally, Fidel & Rohaya studied in the same jc.
As they both left for work, I waited at the lobby. Kalo aku jadi petai, dah kecot agaknya. Tapi member tak cerewet. Handfone berdering..anjat Beydah - suara boss!!! Boss nak fetch aku!!!! Skali intai kat kereta, Pai ilek!!!! Mana Pai???? Gamam Beydah...ish Beydah tak pernah buat keje gini!!!!! Nasib baik Beydah pakai macam maid..tak macam Datin. Boss kata, ma'am lagik siap, so boss amek Beydah gi rumah. Boss nie sambil nyelam minom air - sambil dia zoom sana...zoom sini, korner baring & sebagainya, sempat dia bual kat handfone. Al maklum laa boss..jadi keje tak pernah abiz kan. Kiter understand. Jadi bagi memecah kesunyian, kiter ponG borak pasal keje, pasal travel...aku nyer nervous...Tuhan saja yg tau! Ye laa, bukan calang-calang orang mereka berdua nie. Aku nie just a stay-at-home-mom..eh,eh..luper tak ley cakap gitu lagik!!!! I'm a mother.
Sampai rumah, mak datok!!! Tersergam indah. Sempat aku lagak - eh yg korner kosong tuh dah panggil i dok kat sini laaa. Sengih si boss! Ma'am tengah makan maggi - nampak sah rindu S'pore! Soon, jorang bawak aku rounding! Siang-siang Pai dah email itinerary utk aku. So 1st stop is shopping mall @ Sharjah. I learned more about minyak attar & bukhr. Heh..nasib baik ada boss!!!! Aku jadi Pretty Woman!!! Shopping bags punyalah banyak, boss angkatkan. My best buy, I must admit - seluar dalam @ Marks & Spencer on sale, a pack of 5 @ SGD17. Mana ley dapat this kind of price kat S'pore even during sale??!!?? Aku terus telepon kawan yg minat sangat seluar dalam M&S, apa lagik...borong ah!!!!
Heh baru 1 mall...then it was time to fetch their kids from school. It was my 1st time meeting the 2 beautiful children, a princess & a prince. Stopped by a petrol kiosk, boss bought lunch. We had Burger King. I don't fancy Burger King, but after a bite....I changed my mind. You see, kat S'pore Burger King nyer burger ley lempar tembok ah!!!! Kat Dubai.....punya laaa sodap! Off to Abu Dhabi...yessss...Abu Dhabi. The children chatted non-stop. There are so many things they want to share with me. They call me Cik Annie, Auntie Annie...jgn salah anggap, jorang nie anak Melayu tapi slang matsaleh. I talk to them in Malay & they replied in English..cute only sometimes they reply in simple Malay...cute. But jorang hafal lagu Melayu, skrip filem Melayu.
Abu Dhabi is beautiful....so beautiful!!!!! Negara Arab nie memang mewah. They brought me to Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi . I was told that it was formerly a palace & now turned into a hotel. It's so breathtaking. Nasib baik lalat tak masok mulut Beydah!!! We had afternoon tea. I was shocked to see the price of a 9 inch cake - SGD 100!!! Mak dikao!!!! I ordered a slice of chocolate cake & a cuppa. I insisted that they try the cake...it was heavenly, boss ordered one more.
I walked slowly to the cashier as I wanted to pay for the bill. Both Pai & boss instructed the staff to refuse my card!!! Ish...aku tol nak blanjer, kasi laa chan!!! Boss told the staff - I'm the host, don't take her card! Wahliao.....staff - sorry ma'am, he's the man. Ish....segan beb. It's the least I could do to repay their hospitality.
It was a long drive home. We didn't get to go to the Marina. To & fro was a 5 hr drive. Kesian, boss. We headed home. I spent 2 nights at their home as Fidel's bosses had arrived. I was so exhausted...so overwhelmed. Pai's such a great hostess. I had a room with attached bathroom. I slept so soundly.
